We set off from Coldfoot Camp early in the morning and headed back to Fairbanks along the Dalton Highway. The wind became stronger and the sky gradually cleared up. Soon the sun rose in the east. Everyone hurriedly found a relatively spacious place to park on the roadside, and picked up their cameras to hike in the snow-capped mountains.

This kind of snow scene has never been seen before, so naturally it is necessary to have fun and play, but it is not easy to climb, go down, and pose. The seemingly flat snow often sinks into deep snow pits when you step on it. The knees were as deep as the thighs. If I wanted to take the second step, I had to lie flat on the snow and roll sideways to pull my legs and feet out. It took a lot of effort but I couldn't go very far.

Not long after, our teammates at the bottom of the mountain waved vigorously and called us down the mountain. When we went down to ask, we found out that an accident had just happened. It turned out that there were two huge trucks near our parking lot. By some strange coincidence, two huge trucks were heading towards us. Although we were parked on a relatively spacious roadside, But the trucks running on the road were all Optimus Prime and Megatron level, with more than 30 wheels, and were extremely wide. When the two vehicles met, the spacious road suddenly felt cramped, and the big truck whizzed past our off-road vehicle. Everyone was shocked to see it. Driving on ice in winter, When there are no cars in front or behind, drivers usually instinctively drive in the middle of the road. The middle gradually compacts and there are ice shards buried on both sides. It is easy to cause sudden narrow encounters and sudden wheeling to avoid. Since then, there is no street parking anymore, only temporary parking areas.

I picked it up and inspected it. I found that the plane had crashed. The propeller motor and fuselage were both covered with a thin layer of ice. It was estimated that the ambient temperature was too low and there was light fog. The ice error affected the judgment of obstacle avoidance. The most regrettable thing was that all the way behind We can no longer take pictures of snow scenes.

Taking pictures while driving at dozens of kilometers per hour, everyone kept saying that was so beautiful, but the photos really couldn’t convey one-tenth of the vastness and charm of this place. Several cedar sculptures with strange shapes are not unusual, but the scale shown here is very shocking, and the snowy scenery stretches endlessly as far as the eye can see.

The biggest difference between the snow scene here and other scenery is that you can just close your eyes and take pictures without composing the picture. On the extremely desolate Dalton Highway, you can feel the happiness of a mouse falling into a rice jar.
