The Bund is Shanghai's iconic waterfront promenade along the Huangpu River. Lined with 52 colonial-era buildings representing various architectural styles, it showcases the city's rich history as a major port and commercial center.

Across the river, the futuristic Pudong skyline with the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower creates a stunning contrast between old and new.

Transportation

Metro: Line 2/10 to East Nanjing Road station, exit 6. Walk east 10 minutes. Bus: Routes 20, 37, 55, 65, 71.

Tickets

Free. The Bund is a public promenade with no admission fee.

Travel Tips

Visit at sunset for the best photos when the buildings light up. Night tour is highly recommended. The best views are from the section near Nanjing Road.
