RV China border tour day 148-150: Xishuangbanna Gaozhuang Night Market, Dai King’s Imperial Garden

Last time I mentioned: Parking in LancangLahu Customs Garden...

Today we head to Xishuangbanna, where the mountains are covered with endless tea fields.

Enter Xishuangbanna and visit the Jingzhen Octagonal Pavilion, which was built during the Kangxi period and is an ancient Buddhist building.

Its unique roof structure is even more ingenious.

After visiting the Bajiao Pavilion, we came to Mandiu Village in Gasa Town, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna. It is a primitive small village of the Dai ethnic group that has existed for thousands of years.

At noon, we ate at a Thai restaurant in a Dai village. Thai curry chicken pot, super delicious and authentic!

In the evening, park at the Starlight Night Market in Gaozhuang Xishuangjing

At night, the lights suddenly turn on, and the nightlife in Xishuangbanna has just begun.

After dinner, stroll along the Mekong River and watch the night view of Liuguo Floating Market

Nearby is the fishing boat light bridge

In the distance is a palace as gorgeous as the Potala Palace

We visited the night market until twelve o'clock at night, then reluctantly returned to the RV to rest. Good night!

The next day, we arrived at Manting Park. At the entrance was a sculpture commemorating Premier Zhou Enlai’s participation in the Water Splashing Festival.

Next to Manting Park is the Xishuangbanna Buddhist Temple

Feeding fish by the pond, and a group of catfish came out

After visiting the park, do some shopping in a large shopping mall in the afternoon, and reward yourself after a long journey in the evening.

After dinner, take a walk along the Mekong River to enjoy the night view

After visiting the museum, we parked temporarily at the Dadugang service area at noon.

In the RV, we ate stewed pork ribs with Cynomorium cynomorium and carrots and little yellow duck, and watched Guo Degang’s cross talk.
