Monument introduction: In the center of the Martyrs Cemetery on the island, there is a monument, 9 meters high, quadrilateral, 1.5 meters wide on each side. On the monument is engraved Chairman Mao Zedong's handwriting: "Sacrifice for the country will last forever." Eight characters, the font is copied. This monument is the tallest building in the entire cemetery. There is a five-pointed red star carved on the top of the monument, symbolizing the supremacy of the people's cause and the eternal shining of the revolutionary spirit.
