Introduction to the Diaohua Building: The Diaohua Building is a mansion built by brothers Jin Xizhi and Jin Zhi who made a fortune in the cotton yarn business in Shanghai to honor their mother. It was designed by Chen Guifang, a famous craftsman from the Xiangshan Gang. It employs more than 250 craftsmen and costs 15 Ten thousand silver dollars, construction started in 1922 and took three years to complete.
