Introduction to the first hall: The five halls are arranged on the central axis from south to north, commonly known as the five-layered hall. The first two halls are the largest, with verandahs on both sides, and were used as places for court meetings and ceremonies. The last three halls are slightly smaller in scale and should be regarded as sleeping halls.
