Introduction to the Parrot House: Macaws are found in tropical areas of America. There are about 18 species, belonging to the order Psittaciformes and the family Psittacidae. Macaws are one of the most beautifully colored of the large parrots. The Parrot Hall of Shanghai Wildlife Park currently has 16 large macaws and 24 glazed macaws, for a total of 40 macaws, of which 5 glazed macaws were bred in 2003.
