Introduction to the National Gallery: The St. George Convent next to St. George's Monastery was the first convent in Bohemia. It was demolished and converted into a military camp in the 18th century. It is now the National Gallery, collecting works from the 14th to 17th centuries. Czech art works, including paintings from different periods such as Gothic art, Renaissance and Baroque.
