The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the world's most important facility for panda conservation. Home to over 80 giant pandas, it offers visitors the chance to see these beloved animals in a naturalistic environment.
The base also houses red pandas, black-necked cranes, and other endangered species.
Transportation
Metro: Line 3 to Panda Avenue station, then take shuttle bus. Bus: Routes 87, 198, 655 directly to the base.

¥58. Free for children under 6 and seniors over 60. Online booking recommended.
Travel Tips
Arrive before 9:00 AM when pandas are most active (feeding time). Visit the nursery for baby pandas (seasonal). Allow 2-3 hours.
