Macau Lian Fong Temple Travel Guide
Macau Peninsula
Nestled in the heart of Macau, the Lian Fong Temple stands as a testament to the region's rich cultural heritage, its storied past dating back nearly 400 years to the Ming Dynasty. Today, this revered Zen temple is home to a pantheon of deities, including Guanyin, Tianhou, Guandi, Shennong the Great, Yiling the Great, and Lady Jinhua, each revered by devotees from far and wide. It was here, in the mid-19th century, that Lin Zexu, a prominent Qing Dynasty official, crossed paths with Portuguese officials from Macau, forging a significant chapter in the temple's history.
