Li River Cruise
The Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo is one of China's most scenic boat journeys. The 83-kilometer route passes through spectacular karst mountain landscapes that have inspired Chinese artists and poets for centuries.
The scenery changes with the seasons — misty in spring, lush in summer, and clear in autumn. The section near Xingping is featured on the back of the ¥20 note.
Transportation
Cruise: Boats depart from Zhujiang Pier in Guilin daily at 9:00 AM. Return by bus from Yangshuo (1.5 hours). Bamboo raft: Available from Xingping.

Cruise: ¥450-650 depending on class. Bamboo raft: ¥200-400 depending on section.
Travel Tips
Book the cruise at least one day in advance. Choose a first-class cabin for outdoor viewing deck. Bring sunscreen and a hat. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours.
