Scenic spot introduction:

Houzhenzi Ancient Town is located in Zhouzhi County, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, at the foot of Taibai Mountain and the source of the Heihe River, adjacent to Foping, Yangxian, Taibai and Mei counties. Houzhenzi, located in the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains, covers an area of more than 800 square kilometers. Thick means wide. It spans the north and south of the Qinling Mountains and is compatible with the two major water systems of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. Zhen, on the other hand, refers to a field road. This ancient road has been twisting and turning in the folds of the Daqin Mountains for thousands of years, during which countless legends and stories have been interpreted.

How to get there:

Self-driving: Starting from Xi'an city, take the Xihan Expressway to Laoyukou and get on S107, turn to National Highway G108 at Mazhao and drive 50 kilometers to the entrance of Heihe Forest Park, then drive 25 kilometers to Houzhenzi Town.

1. Houzhenzi Ancient Town is the best starting point for crossing Taibai Mountain. Generally, travelers take a bus to Houzhenzi first and start their journey from here. This is the base camp for travelers.
