Benxi China Maple Leaf Road Travel Guide

Benxi Zhonghua Maple Leaf Road is the most beautiful place in Liaoning in autumn, and it is also the best place for photography and self-driving. Every late September, during the red leaf viewing period for more than half a month, red, yellow, and green leaves of various colors hang on the branches or fall on the banks of the ditch bottom and stream, and the colors are extremely rich. The mountains on both sides of the road compete to display their colorful beauty, just like a stage with constantly changing scenery. Walking through this overwhelming color, it seems to be integrated into a rich and long-lasting oil painting, which is intoxicating.

China Maple Leaf Road is located between the Xinkailing Tunnel and the Daaoling Tunnel from Benxi to Hengren, with a length of more than 30 kilometers. On both sides of the road are rolling mountains, golden larches, fiery red torch trees, ocher-yellow oaks, purple maples, and dark green pines. Along this Benhuan Highway to the east, you can reach the famous painter village, Yanghugou.
