Traveling in Europe~Dubrovnik, Croatia

Dubrovnik, also known as Ragusa. A port city in southeastern Croatia, it is also the largest tourist center and health resort. The ancient city is located on a limestone peninsula in the southern part of the Dalmatian coast with beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. Nestled against mountains and sea, with lush forests, it is an ancient city with a medieval style.

 

Dubrovnik was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1979. What makes the ancient city famous all over the world is that it is the filming location of "Game of Thrones", the so-called "King's Landing". In fact, the history here began in the 7th century. Today, this ancient city with a circumference of about three kilometers was built in the 9th century. With its glorious history that has never been conquered and its excellent scenery by the sea and wind, even without the background of American dramas , is also a tourist attraction.

 

This is the "Game of Thrones" theme music performed by the famous Croatian cellist Hauser in King's Landing. Do you remember the famous line:

The city wall surrounds it for about 3 kilometers, and you can walk around it. It was a bit rainy on the day we went, and there were not too many people. Although there was a local tour guide who talked while walking, the city wall was narrow and uneven, so Wang Wei and I spent most of the time wandering around freely. Anyway, we went out to travel to let our eyes Enjoying the beautiful scenery is the most important thing.

We came down from the city wall and had lunch in the ancient city.

Then take the cable car to the mountain and overlook the ancient city.

After taking the cable car, we were free to move around. In order to avoid group friends, Wang Wei and I basically walked through small alleys, but both the main roads and alleys were super beautiful.

I read a poem to Wang Wei:

Maybe you pass by here one day

Wang Wei is used to me anyway. It doesn't matter to her whether it's singing or reading poetry. She probably isn't listening and just lets me do whatever I want.

The two of them found a cafe in a small alley. It was really quiet here, with almost no tourists, so it was even less likely that there would be group friends. In fact, the tour guide was the one they wanted to avoid the most.

Probably because it was so remote, people neither swiped cards nor euros when checking out, so Wang Wei could only leave me there and run out to pay back the money. By this time, the group had already asked to assemble. Fortunately, the group leader Saonian comforted me and stayed to wait for us.

We still had dinner in the ancient city, and the restaurant was right by the sea.
