After so many times, I can no longer find anything new to explore.

It’s the Qingming Festival holiday again, where should I go? After much thought, I decided to go to Yangshan Island to see the sea. I have seen the sea in Shanghai, Weihai, and even went to Gulangyu Island in Xiamen to see the sea, but they were all seas on the landside and did not seem very shocking. I have not experienced the island scenery. I’m so looking forward to it. Thinking about going to Yangshan Island, I can’t help but feel a little excited.

Yangshan Island is a small island in the Zhoushan Islands. Administratively, it is under the jurisdiction of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, but geographically it is close to Shanghai and is a close neighbor of Shanghai. It only needs to cross the 32.5-kilometer Donghai Bridge from Luchao Port in Shanghai. This location is somewhat awkward. It is a piece of chicken rib for Zhejiang, but it is a piece of fat for Shanghai. Later, the two places negotiated and the sovereignty belonged to Zhejiang and the operating rights belonged to Shanghai, so Shanghai Yangshan Deepwater Port was built. Becoming the world's largest container terminal, its throughput exceeds that of Singapore.

On the morning of the 4th, after having breakfast and going to the supermarket to buy some fruit, I drove off and arrived at Yangshan Island near noon.

When I travel, I never make a guide, and I don’t bother to check other people’s guides online. Guides are like spoilers. If you know them in advance, you will have no sense of expectation and the experience will be worse. However, I was really wrong this time. Yangshan Island was not what I imagined.

The Yangshan Island in my imagination is like this, with sunshine, beaches, blue waves, bikinis and coconut trees. Haha, that is Hainan Island. Imagining Yangshan Island to be Hainan Island is simply a hooliganism. The higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment, and the same is true in life, not to mention the scenery. There is no scenery on Yangshan Island. Except for a few stone mountains and wild grass, there are no trees, no beaches, and no blue waves.

This small island running east-west is very small, only a few kilometers long. It only takes 10 minutes to drive there. I tried to find a road around the island so that I could walk along the seaside, but I couldn't find it. Later, I climbed over a wall and came to the seaside, and finally came into close contact with the muddy yellow water.

After seeing the sea, I returned and canceled my plan to stay on the island. There is a kind of goodbye called never seeing each other again. However, I was so disappointed. Later I heard someone say that the place I went to was not all of Yangshan Island. It was It's called Xiaoyangshan, and it's just a part of Yangshan Island. The real scenery is on another island parallel to it. That island is called Dayangshan. You need to take a boat from the Shenjiawan Pier in Xiaoyangshan. Between the two islands, There is no land connection.
