The Shanhaiguan Fourth Field Provisional Headquarters was the former site of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's Provisional Headquarters in November 1948, when the Northeast People's Liberation Army entered the country to liberate Pingjin. In this well-structured courtyard, Lin Biao, Luo Ronghuan and other generals at the time stayed here, leaving indelible traces of history. At the same time, from 1950 to before the reform and opening up, the old site had always been a hotel that only received central leaders and celebrities from all walks of life. Later, the local government restored it and it has become an important place for exploring history and red patriotism education.

The Siye Temporary Headquarters is located in Mujia Hutong next to Shanhaiguan, the first pass in the world. It is a memorial hall renovated on the basis of a century-old house.
