Introduction to the old site of Dahe Hotel: The former site of "Dahe Hotel" is located at No. 97, Zhongshan Road, Zhongshan Plaza, Heping District, Shenyang City. Dahe Hotel is today the Liaoning Hotel located at the southwest entrance of the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Nanjing Street. On July 17, 1996, it was established as a cultural relics protection unit in Shenyang City. In 2007, it was upgraded to a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit in Liaoning. When it was built in 1929, it was the largest and most luxurious hotel in Shenyang and one of the earliest high-end hotel chains nationwide. On March 1, 1950, Mao Zedong, who returned from his visit to the Soviet Union, also stayed at the Liaoning Hotel. Even after decades of baptism, the interiors and décor still exude its original simplicity and Renaissance flavor.
