Introduction to the nature reserve: The national-level Yanwo Island Wetland Nature Reserve with an area of ​​11,916 hectares was established in 1997. It is a newly built inland water ecosystem nature reserve in the Heilongjiang Reclamation Area. In 1999, the reserve was included in the Asian Wetlands List.
