Fujian Guangying Temple Travel Guide

Changlong Town
Guangying Temple dates back to 627, the first year of the Zhenguan era of the Tang Dynasty, when the complex once comprised as many as thirteen halls, bustling with incense and renowned monks. Wars later ravaged the site, leaving only a single, severely damaged main hall by the end of the Republic of China, with no Buddha statues left. During the Cultural Revolution the buildings were repurposed as a tea‑processing plant and cattle pen, further altering their appearance. After a restoration in 1981 the temple was rebuilt into three courtyards, and today the front square is planted with trees and flowers, offering a pleasant setting
